Not as straightforward to set up and back up as suggested, despite numerous visits to the website, which was really unhelpful. There needs to be much more information on screen as soon as the drive is connected so that the user knows exactly what to do. It would be fine for people who are more tech. savvy but my Seagate ones were much easier to set up.

Easy to install and use, portable and compatible. Good value for money, but you will have to pay extra for password protection and encryption.

Easy to use and store files with plenty of storage. It operates quickly and has been reliable. I hoped it would have included a USB-A to USB-C cable for Macbook users although.

I have used a WD external drive for personal critical backup for over ten years and thought I should renew it as a precaution. I searched and found a replacement of another make and this was an Out of Box failure. Went to the Argos website and they had a very wide range of external drives including this WD unit. It’s been working fine for the past month, fingers crossed for the next ten years. Well done Argos!

Great little portable drive. Using for easy backup of our phones each day (photos, videos, docs, etc). Maybe not the fastest read/write but more than fast enough for our uses, and seems plenty to use as a second drive on a PC. One thing I would note, this connects to a ps5, however you cannot run games off if the portable drive.
At 1Tb, it is a great size drive for the price and is nice and compact. It is a fairly no frills low profile device that looks fairly decent even though it is just a plastic case.
The drive connects to phones and PCs with ease. There is software that can be used, however I opted not to use this and just move files in file explorer.
