While it works as it should, even after a month of use the water has a bad plasticky taste. Considering buying a metal kettle to replace it.

Nice looking kettle which I bought to go with matching toaster. Kettle boils well but even after 2 weeks’ use there is still a plasticky taste to the water.

A very stylish replacement for my old, broken kettle. Great price and easy to pick-up. The only downside is the water gauge which is not very visible. I have put small, black dots where I can see it clearly, no problem now.

It looks great, feels better than lifting with plastic or metal handle as it’s wood. Has more of an expensive feel about it. But it boils water quickly, that’s what we bought it for.

I bought this kettle along with the matching toaster but unfortunately I had to send the kettle back. I could not get rid of the antiseptic taste in the water even after countless boiling and disposing of the water. I even added baking soda to the water to stand over night to try to rid the kettle of the taste but to no avail it had to be returned. It was disappointing but on the plus side Argos had no quibble about picking up the kettle and refunding me my money. It has not put me of shopping with Argos in the future.

The kettle was really lovely but unfortunately there was a nasty metallic taste to the water despite boiling the kettle many times. I had to buy another kettle to replace it. Very disappointing!

My old Swan kettle lasted 5 years but finally gave up the ghost. I wanted a white kettle with ‘wood’ features to match other appliances and decor in my kitchen. I discovered this item and was pleased that it was only £25..What can I say, it does the job.

I love the look of this kettle but it’s been few weeks now and there’s still a plastic smell/taste coming from it. I followed the cleaning instructions for before first use and have tried again since but it keeps coming back.
