Has a battery charging fault. False reading of fully charged, in fact white light indicates barely charged. No amber or green charging light. It has to be kept connected to a power source when in use, and shut down rather than left in sleep mode when unplugged. Asus say they are aware ( a combo usb / charging port ). This should have a Notice. Otherwise fine for what I need, and vast improvement on Windows 10 it replaced, even though, apart from the power port, it only has 1 usb port.

I bought this because I was fed up with all the unnecessary frills and fancies that go with Windows, along with the constant interference from Microsoft because they don’t like you using software that isn’t theirs, as well as its endless updates which mean you can’t use the laptop while they’re in progress. This doesn’t happen with Chromebook because it does updates in the background, then all that’s needed is to restart for them to take effect. Sound and picture qualify are very good, as is speed. Boots up very quickly most of the time, although like all Asus laptops I’ve used the power button occasionally has to be pressed a few times before it does so. Major annoyance is being forced to use Chrome’s own security and not a security system of my choice. It’s also quite expensive. Can’t speak for battery life as I never use it.

Bought this for my 7yr old grandson who is using them in his school. The size is ideal and it has lots of different access to help with his school work. The price was also ideal.
