I watched lots of videos on Chromebooks before deciding to purchase a Lenovo Chromebook Plus 14″ and having had the machine for around one month now I am so glad I chose it. It is everything I hoped it would be. It’s has a very fast response time, a great screen and brilliant speakers. There’s not much else I can say about it. It’s a brilliant bit of kit.

I’ve had a few Chromebooks over the years and this is the best one so far. Very light. Thin. Small bezel around the screen. Battery lasts ages and charges very quickly. And the main reason I bought it is the outstanding screen quality.

I’ve had this Chromebook for a good 2 months now so feel like I can write a more valid review. I debated a Chromebook for a long time, I’ve tried a £200 one many years ago but it didn’t stick for me.
But now things have moved on, I became intrigued about them and felt like I needed to move away from windows laptops. But also felt I needed to spend a few more quid on one.
So I’ve been a windows boy all my life, on PC’s/laptops for 25yrs at least, and using a Dell XPS13 for the last 10yrs now, they’re an excellent laptop and expensive at about £1500, but best laptops I’ve owned.
BUT I wanted to get away from Windows and thought i’d give this Chromebook a go, and being £599 I figured it would have the best chance of impressing me, and it absolutely has.
The battery life is incredible, I can use it all day, a good 8hrs or more and its still going.
It obviously fires up immediately, much like a tablet would. No waiting for it to load itself up or for updates at the most inconvenient time.
The screen is sharp, the sound/speakers are really good too.
I love the touchscreen. And a very neat function is the little finger print thingy for signing into stuff, quick and easy and just works.
I had a good 2 weeks of adaption phase where I had to get used to being all in the cloud. I’d took my Documents folder from my Dell laptop, saved to a hardrive, then copied to OneDrive. The 365 license set me back about £80 but needed if you’re still ingrained in the world of office/windows.
I do also use Google suite of slides and docs and sheets, but do find myself just defaulting to Onedrive and office for word, excel and powerpoint.
I’m using this laptop for business and personal use and I’m able to easily change between accounts when I need to, the click of a button.
The keyboard is lovely to type on, I’m writing a book currently so it’s passing the ultimate test.
The 12months of AI/Gemini is also very handy.
I’m still learning about Chromebooks and the hacks, I sometimes feel like I ‘lose’ a file or document, but I never have, I always find them!!
So in conclusion, I very much recommend this Chromebook, and I am not disappointed at all, I’m actually pleasantly surprised at how much I like it and how good it is.

Very good laptop! Good price, good quality! I am happy!

For that price, you’ll will get an oled screen. And the picture do look amazing. But the processor even though it is powerful, zoom doesn’t recognize it. So it’s considered a weak processor.

For the price its a very good laptop, very speedy and great screen

I am very happy with my purchase. The computer is very responsive and has handled everything I have thrown at it. The OS is much less bloated than windows. Some apps don’t work 100% – e.g. Zoom, GeForce NOW – but reverting to the browser versions seems to fix any issues.
