This is the best, switching from sky broadband to this router. Speed is good, signals are good. 👍🏼

I had grown increasingly frustrated with my Sky Hub router, suffering connectivity problems around the house due to poor range and weird issues with my work VPN (constant video hangs and audio issues despite the in-app troubleshooting reporting no network problems). I did see conflicting advice on the web as to whether this router could replace the Sky Hub completely (or whether it could only act as an access point), but I’m pleased to say that it connected to my Sky Fibre service straight away and has resolved all of the issues I faced (plus several other annoyances which I’d obviously learned to live with).
The TP-Link Tether app is absolutely fantastic, making it a breeze to configure (although some advanced settings like IP address reservations can only be accessed via the router’s web page). It also provides excellent usage reports and alerting on new device connections.

Bought as an access point dec 2025, the ease of setup and app are great. Enhanced my home network, very happy.

Very good product and does what it is meant to do. mAC clonig is really helpful to map it to the isp router. The range is good. The app also helps with having the ability to control the device from your smartphone.

After researching multiple products, I went with this one and was definitely not let down (will discuss the reason for 4 stars shortly). The product is very easy to set up and configure, has been reliable for over 4 months now and is great at handling multiple devices. It offers the standard “advanced” functionality out of the box as well as more such as VPN set up and various methods for forwarding and triggering. My setup also utilises the feature of setting up separate networks/SSIDs for smart home automation devices such as Amazon Alexa/Google Home devices. The speed is excellent however the reason for leaving 4 stars is that the range is very underwhelming for a highly rated device like this. My house is a simple 2 up/2 down and there are almost an infinite amount of variables that could affect range so please don’t use this to make your decision but coming from a couple of old Virgin Media hubs that never offered WiFi 6, it was disappointing to see that the range of this device barely superseded these devices.

Easy to use and does what it says on the box

It worked. No issues

A modern router brought as a switch box to replace one on a home network. Good compromise between price and quality from a mainstream brand.
