Not impressed so far. Hard to connect remotely and my young people have access even though restrictions are in force. I’ve tried to set the settings to restrict internet on certain devices. From my app it says that the devices are restricted. But then when I check the next day. The usage says access was past bedtime. TOTALLY frustrating. It does not work. My young people love this ROUTER because it allows them access when it should not. Oh how much I want it to work but it does not.

Bought to replace the free router provided by my ISP as it was only wifi5. The speed benefits we see moving to this are great. It’s not dropped a connection and was very easy to setup using the Asus app.

We needed to replace a mesh network that started to cause real wifi connectivity issues. So we took a gamble with this, in the hope that would give complete coverage. So far very impressed its even covered a previous deadspot. And we havent even deployed the antenna. Lots of functions im especially impressed with the ai protection, to the point im considering abandoning paid for virus protection. Have’nt tried the vpn yet but interface looks intuitive. Best thing though is aimesh option, so we could pick a cheaper aimesh router and create a mesh network if needed. Haven’t tested the coverage in the garden yet. Very good production, only issue was an isp special setting but i once i figured it out it was easy to find and enter the required info.

Asus launched the rt-axe7800 tri-band router. I thought it was time I replaced my elderly combo. The new router connected without any problems whatsoever. My broadband package is FTTC 80/20, I get
74+ down 19+ up wired to my desktop. My iPad Pro WiFi gets 71+ down 17+ up. The only thing I changed was the 2.4ghz channel. So definitely 5 stars for my new Asus router. I would say just get one.

Easy to set up, took literally 10 minutes, and the WiFi 6E has completely been a game changer for PCVR with the Quest Pro VR headset, was getting under 250 mbps on a Netgear Nighthawk Router on Wifi 6, this is an absolute gamechanger, now getting just under a gigabyte !, over Wifi !!, highly recommended, and would say just change your VR experience, or even as a dedicated channel, especially if you live in a congested area with lots of other occupied Wifi 5G channels in use.

This RT-AXE7800 is my first router purchase of my own, I have always relied on ISP routers and WOAH I’m absolutely blown away and amazed at how incredible this unit is. The whole process from installing and setting up was so easy throughout! The app is designed superbly and very easy to navigate and use which is always a daunting process but made user friendly by ASUS. The range of this router is just phenomenal and the controls you have access to just make this whole process and purchase worth it. The design of the router itself and the UI in app is pristine and remarkable. The speeds and connectivity blows this out the water and stands this router out from the crowd. ASUS as always certainly delivers on their brand and products. 10/10 very happy customer
