I purchased this because it has a glass jug and it doesn’t come bundled with attachments I don’t need. However, when I opened the box I discovered that the jug is bottomless and sits on a plastic base. I don’t want to have plastic in contact with my food, so I returned the blender. As has been pointed out by other reviewers, the jug is very heavy, and because the base is quite tall it would be difficult for me to lift it on and off. I’ve not been able to ascertain performance or noise because I didn’t try it, so I’ve chosen the middle rating forthose.

Excellent quality jug is heavy though as its glass lid was really tight to open and close as it has a strong rubber seal we took the seal off as it is still a really good closure as it locks in place and nothing splashes out

Easy to set up, not as heavy as you think. Quite large so not a one person smoothie maker!
Seems very sturdy. Not fully convinced on blending abilities yet, left lots of chunks but early days.

A blade snapped when I was making a smoothie…nothing very hard in it, which obviously would have been very dangerous if I’d drunk it! I only noticed because the smoothie leaked out of the bottom of the jug.

I found this way beyond my handling!! I have had many blenders, I just could not cope with this one. I tried it but would not come on although power was on, I am 81 years old & I could not manipulate it. I took it to my local Argos, but they would not change as I obviously had tried to use by putting something in!!! Anyway I gave it to my grandaughter.
You should consider the phrase – COULD BE DIFFICULT FOR AN OLDER PERSON. Sorry I do not have a smart phone to leave a photograph!
