Decent HDD if you want a backup of all your files. Big storage for good price. Runs nice and quiet. Looks smart. This isn’t the drive for you if you’re looking for portable or constant use as it’s quite big and requires a power socket but for archiving, it’s just the ticket. Only gripe is that it spins down to save power when not being used, which is all good, but it occasionally takes quite a while to spring back into life when you try to access it. Aside from that minor irritation I would recommend

Purchased this because of capacity and price. I am pleased with it as I use it as a backup for my NAS. It performs well, reasonably quiet and I like the fact that it goes to sleep if not being accessed. Overall I am happy with the purchase and would recommend.

Happy with this drive which I use to periodically back up my PC. Good price from Argos and pick-up from nearby store. Only slight criticism is that it is slightly noisy when reading and writing to disk (it is a mechanical rather than a SSD drive).
