Purchased this phone to replace my aged A14. very pleased with h current features of this budget priced item. If you are not looking for too much from your smartphone and just a decent “all rounder” than this fits the bill easily.

I bought this as a replacement for a samsung s10 and I must say I have been pleasantly suprised. Granted its a lot newer than the s10 but the s10 is a flagship phone from Samsung and this is a mid level Samsung phone, purchased on offer for £135 brand new, and what a bargain it was too! Camera, very good, battery, very good, performance astonishing. My partner too had a s10 and decided to go with a oneplus 12r which cost him 3 times more than the A17 and the extra performance of the processor in the oneplus is barely noticeable. With the A17 you get all the usual Samsung preinstalled apps as well which are brilliant whilst on a lot of other mobiles including the oneplus the apps are generic android apps which are awful and cannot be uninstalled. One example is the alarm app which is brilliant on the Samsung but on the oneplus is terrible to the point where you cannot even put the alarms in date order. So lets see, the A17 is fast, cheap, build quality is good, durable and with a great interface. I purchased a nice case to protect it and it should last. As for my partner, he is regretting moving away from the Samsung, he has always had flagship samsung phones but after using the A17 for a couple of days he is so astonished that he says he would have been happy with the A17! So why have I not given it 5 stars? Well, I am being picky but the Samsung only supplies the cable with the phone and not the charger itself which you have to purchase separately, disappointing from Samsung but not a reflection on the phone itself. So in conclusion I would definitely reccomend.
